“For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.” – Romans 12:3 NIV
Humility. The act of lowering ourselves and at the same time raising those around us. It can be a curative act for our community and a restorative act for each of us. And it is no doubt the perfect thought to end this series. Today is the day that we celebrate and honor the greatest act of humility ever performed.
I’ve learned a lot during these 47 days: to open my eyes, close my mouth, listen, wait, have hope, and most of all, in everything I do, point to Him, who died for me so that I may have everlasting life. And so, as I end this phase of the journey, that is what I hope these words will do:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 NIV
